TOPS SCHEME

Trained Operator Passport Scheme.

This scheme was created by ITSSAR in 2015. The Tops scheme allows accredited training centres to provide candidates with an operator number. This Number is then attached to the operator in order to build a CV of experience and qualifications but also to prove legitimacy of their training and certification. Tops numbers can be checked online by anyone by searching for "TOPS Validation" and then typing their tops number into the box. This will retrieve operators name and all the qualifications passed with a test date. Tops numbers can be found on a certificate or licence card.
